Sasha revealed her transgender identity as she began in high school. Sasha faced a lot of difficulties however he was confident that by the support of his music and friends Sasha would be able manage it. Jim and Sasha are both song writers and were just recently forming an official band. Since then they've performed at various local events, such as open mics. The Voice coaches never discussed the background of Sasha, however Jim and Sasha told their stories in a clip that was shown prior to their performance. Jim and Sasha spoke about the genre of music they enjoy, as well as their experiences. Sasha picked up the guitar the very first time at age six. It was easier for Sasha to learn how to play the guitar because his dad is music enthusiast.
